Review 2017 - outlook 2018

Dear business partners, dear colleagues, dear friends and partners of the company Hoffmeier,

For the year 2017 we would like to draw conclusions. At the end of the year, we look back on an intense, temporarily exciting time with many new adventures and experiences, which sometimes demanded a lot from the participants.

That is why we would like to sincerely thank all those involved, who have helped us, accompanied us, advised us and contributed to the success of our business. First and foremost, we would like to thank all our employees for their support and assistance, because the commitment and motivation of our outstanding workforce went far beyond the set expectations. Many things that seemed easy and simple at first sight have become big challenges. But together we have mastered each of them with flying colours.

Here are a few special events in 2017 that we would like to highlight once again:

1. New Heating Hall

At the beginning of 2017, we took our new heating hall into use. With a total area of ​​approx. 217 m², the heat-treatment facility has a length of 20.70 m, a width of 10.50 m and a height of 9.00 m. Thus, oversized Large Components parts can also be thermally treated. The hall consists of a steel construction, lined with refractory insulation and can be driven apart in two halves via rails. This allows the loading of the hall with very large components. With our own heating hall the complex and time-consuming transport of oversized components to specialized subcontractors is eliminated. This investment closes the last gap in our large-scale manufacturing chain.

2. The Straddle Carrier

Already at the end of the previous year, our new mobile crane, the so-called straddle carrier, went into operation. Mobile cranes of this type are often used at container terminals in ports. The Straddle Carrier enables us to transport and trans-load oversized Large Components parts. The straddle carrier guarantees a high degree of flexibility. It is designed in such a way that it can travel over the respective part with its long supports, fixing, lifting and transporting it.

3. Certifications

Once again this year, we passed a monitoring audit by KPMG for our integrated management system (ISO 9001-2008 quality, SCC / SCP occupational safety). The auditors rated our organization, which has been created to this date, very positively and have confirmed our compliance with the system specifications.

4. Our new homepage

Over the past years, we have neglected the maintenance and revision of our website: The design was outdated, the information was no longer up to date, the pictures obsolete. Customers did not get the feeling, during a visit on our homepage, to have the Fa. Hoffmeier presented within their current capacity. It was high time to clean up here. We have taken up this challenge. It was restructured, texted, photographed, designed and space created for new topics. Now our homepage shines in new splendour. The structures are clear, the navigation is easy, and the pictures are high-resolution. With a few clicks you can now reach your destination. We went online on 26.09.2017 and welcome you all to visit our website.

5. Outlook

After an exciting expansion and optimization phase as part of our strategy project Hoffmeier 2020, we are now more than ever ready to offer our customers the optimum solutions for the manufacture and assembly of their systems/components. In the next few months, we will also be working on setting up a new corporate structure and organization. Within this framework, we will review all company processes again, optimize them if necessary and align them to future challenges.

We see it as a constant challenge not only to be good or to maintain a certain standard of performance, but also to constantly develop ourselves in line with customer requirements and thus to become better and better in order to develop the solutions our customers need. The trusting and cooperative cooperation with our customers and suppliers is the basis for this.

We look forward to a continued successful cooperation and would like to thank our customers, suppliers, business partners, employees and all friends and partners of the company Hoffmeier Industrieanlagen GmbH + Co. KG for the confidence that we received in 2017 as well as for the effort, commitment and support in the current year. We wish you all health, happiness and success for the New Year.
