Conversion of existing kiln line and clinker cooler at HeidelbergCement in Burglengenfeld near completion!

In 2015, we were awarded the contract for the erection of the new heat exchanger tower and the conversion of the kiln line and the clinker cooler at HeidelbergCement in Burglengenfeld. The construction of a state-of-the-art heat exchanger with a capacity of 4,000 tons of clinker per day is, in addition to the raw meal grinding plant and the new clinker cooler, the essential part of the planned modernization. The aim is to replace the two more than 40-year-old rotary kilns with a daily capacity of 2,000 tons of clinker with the latest technology available. This project is the largest single order in the history of our company. In the course of project execution (2016-2018), we installed plant engineering and steel construction with a total weight of approx. 9000 tons. The complete steel construction with 5000 tons was planned and delivered by us. It includes a heat exchanger tower and the steel construction for the mill building, support structures, stairs and access platforms. The statics and the preparation of the production drawings for the steel construction and the process pipelines are also part of our services.
